It is estimated that as much as 198 million people use adblockers, and the number of users is rising fast, especially since Apple came forward and supported adblocker in their new iOS last year.

Adobe estimates that as much as $21.8 billion in global ad revenue was blocked last year. This is a staggering number. So what are media companies and advertisers doing about it? An obvious solution would be to create less annoying advertising. One way is to different forms of  branded content, that flies under the adblockers’ radar but still gets brand’s messages to the consumers, albeit in more subtle ways that before.

For webshops, an obvious solution is to let their customers help them out, and show their products to their friends. After all, if your friend bought a product from a webshop, you’re at least somewhat likely to be interested in that product. And even if you’re not interested in that exact product, you are likely trusting your friend’s choice of webshop, and will have a positive impression of that webshop the next time you’re browsing for a similar product. Functionality updates! Showmybuy now launches Flyout Before Purchase and Vouchers

We’re now launching two functionality updates that all webshops can benefit from. Firstly, the flyout with the offer to your customer can now be placed on several pages before payment, for example on your landing page or on pages with special offers, as well as after payment. Use the new function to match your customers’ behavior in your webshop, and increase your conversion rate with Showmybuy even more.

Vouchers
With the second update, Vouchers, you can create discount reward deals even faster and easier than before. This new function automatically distributes discount coupons as rewards to your customers – at no extra cost.

It is extremely simple to use: Upload your discount codes to your Showmybuy account, from an Excel sheet. Then create a normal deal using those uploaded discount codes as reward, and you’re good to go. When a customer has attracted the required amount of friends to your webshop, Showmybuy automatically distributes your discount code as a reward to that customer. When it’s time for a coupon refill, you will get a reminder email. If your webshop doesn’t support unique discount codes, don’t worry! We also support sending a generic code for each reward.

We’re now upgrading Showmybuy with new rewards, where consumers are awarded from a third party, such as gift cards for a movie night or a scratch lottery ticket, when they show their purchase. Many of our customers have asked for other rewards than what they can offer in their webshops, and of course we want to meet that demand. Depending on the value of the reward, webshops can set different demands on how many visits the customer needs to generate. Launching in Sweden, we offer gift cards from SF cinema and the scratch lottery ticket Triss from start, but we have more exciting cooperations in the pipeline and will soon start to roll out third party awards in our other markets as well.

Third party awards also make Showmybuy even easier to implement as the webshop only needs to add a small update on the post purchase page. Webshops can create campaigns and adjust rewards and demands as they see trends in their customer behavior and don’t have to wait for the IT department to implement the changes. Rewards from the webshop itself, such as free shipping, discounts or bonus points, are integrated with the web shops as usual.

As a user you can see the new rewards in the control panel when you’re logged in. Look under Deals in the menu and click Use Reward to start boosting your business today. Enjoy!

Nu utökar vi vår tjänst med nya samarbeten, där konsumenterna kan få en belöning från tredje part, t ex en fri biobiljett eller trisslott, när de visar sina köp. Många av våra kunder har efterfrågat andra belöningar än de man kan ge i den egna butiken, och det har vi tagit fasta på. Beroende på hur stor belöningen är, kan man ställa olika höga krav på hur många besök i webshopen som konsumenten ska generera. Från start erbjuder vi presentkort på biobiljetter hos SF och Trisslotter, och vi har samarbeten på gång med flera andra starka varumärken.

Showmybuy har även blivit ännu enklare att implementera då vi erbjuder färdigpaketerade belöningar till butikens kunder. Använder butiken sig av Showmybuys belöningar så behöver butiken bara göra ett litet tillägg på tack-för-köpet-sidan. Butikerna kan snabbt och enkelt skapa nya kampanjer och justera belöning och krav allt eftersom de ser behoven hos kunderna, utan att behöva gå till IT-avdelningen och vänta på att det skall implementeras. Vill butiken sedan vidareutveckla sin belöning till sina kunder, och till exempelvis erbjuda fri frakt, rabatterat pris eller medlemspoäng, kan butiken integrera Showmybuy direkt mot sina egna system.

Showmybuy opens office in London
